How is Strotonin utilised by the body?
During periods of increased physical or mental stress, the body’s requirement for certain nutrients may rise. Magnesium is a key component of energy metabolism and contributes to the normal functioning of the nervous system. Strotonin contains organic magnesium fumarate – a high-quality source of magnesium with good bioavailability. In addition, Strotonin contains a balanced combination of essential amino acids – including L-tryptophan. As a component of the body’s own protein synthesis, tryptophan is involved in many biological processes. The plant-based flavourings included have been selected to ensure high palatability in horses – even in challenging situations.
Strotonin is available in convenient single 1 g portions and comes in four pack sizes.
Directions for use:
For supportive care, we recommend feeding Strotonin daily for 3–4 days prior to the planned event. If the situation requires it, the feeding amount can be temporarily adjusted – a higher dose is safe.
• Days 1–2: 2 portions per day
• From day 3: 1 portion per day
Strotonin can be fed on a continuous basis.
Important for competition horses: Strotonin is FEI / BEF-ADMR compliant and has no withdrawal period.
For an optimal effect of strotonin it is necessary that the animal has a good active level
builds up. Therefore, we recommend that you start feeding strotonin 3-4 days before the stressful situation in which you want to support your pet.
Depending on requirements, the recommended daily dose can be fed as a single dose in the morning or divided into two doses in the morning and evening via the concentrated feed.
- Ponies: 0.5-1 sachet/daily dose
- Horses over 500 kg: 1-2 sachets/daily dose

Ja, Strotonin eignet sich auch für einzelne planbare Situationen wie den Hufschmied, Zahnarztbesuch oder Turniere. Wichtig ist, dass Sie Strotonin 3-4 Tage vor der Situation füttern, um den Wirkungspegel aufzubauen. Nach dem Absetzen kehrt das Tier innerhalb von 2-3 Tagen in seinen ursprünglichen Zustand zurück.
Strotonin kann einfach unter Mash oder Müsli gemischt, in Apfel- oder Bananenstücken versteckt oder in Wasser gelöst mit einer Spritze ins Maul gegeben werden. Wichtig ist, dass das Pferd die volle Dosis erhält. Bitte nicht mit heißem Wasser übergießen, da sonst die Aminosäuren ihre Wirkung verlieren.
